Of course, the details of the Holocaust should be explained to people today in order to prevent the resurrection of fascism and the rise of fascist leaders- like the current squatter in the Oval Office - before they follow in the bloody footsteps of fascists past. Trump's recent announcement of his desire to ethnically-cleanse Gaza should be a warning to every decent American, for example. No, the details must be taught- but they must be the correct details, not those cherry-picked to suit and support the extremination of Palestinian and the eradication of their country.
So- the hypocrisy of commemorating Holocaust Day is glaringly evident in the actions of Izraeli Jewz and the immoral US support for them. In short, they are NOT deserving of being identified with that generation of Jews that suffered the horrors of WW2 Europe. This new generation is emulating the actions of the fascists that murdered their forebears during what Jews remember as The Shoah, not The Holocaust. Identifying the Holocaust with Jews is shameful in forgetting the other fourteen million people that died.
Let it fade. Let it be remembered along with history's other atrocities but STOP allowing Zionism's fascists to manipulate you into supporting their genocide against Palestinians.
