She was young and pregnant, and her mother forced her to do it. That wouldn't be a good start to a lot of marriages.

Too bad Will didn't wrap it up, huh.

Last July, Jada admitted that almost five years prior, she had a relationship with August Alsina whilst separated from Will Smith.

It's clear that he was happy enough with the GI Jane joke at first, until she showed her displeasure with it. That doesn't excuse him but it shows who has the upper hand in that toxic relationship.

I haven't seen any videos of them. And about the slap, you claim it's because she showed her displeasure. Even if she did, that doesn't excuse Smith's lack of self-control. He's a grown adult and should have learned by now how to keep his temper in hand. He made the choice to run onto the stage; she wasn't pointing a gun at his ribs.

As far as Jada's relationship with Alsina, it was true; it was also true that he had his own relationships during the separation. Read this comment from Alsina: "Alsina said Will gave him and Jada his “blessing”, adding: “I actually sat down with Will and had a conversation due to the transformation from their marriage to life partnership that they’ve spoken on several times and it not involving romanticism.”

And here's a comment from Smith: During an interview on CBS Sunday Morning earlier this month, Will said he and Jada had never accused each other of cheating. He said: “Never. There’s never been infidelity in our marriage...And we have never surprised one another with anything ever..."

So the bottom line is that they've had a complicated relationship for the past 28 years and it's not just Jada's fault. It's dishonest to say it is. Neither your nor I nor anyone else knows what really went on with them.

Maybe you ought to watch the video? Whilst about it look at the Oscar night video of him laughing at the joke until he could see her getting annoyed about it.

Will Smith is ultimately responsible just like an abused wife is ultimately responsible for being a chickenshit to leave her abuse husband.

Tom is correct about the time sequence; Smith laughed and then, I expect a kick under the table, Smith is smacking Rock. There's another video which includes Jada and it shows her laughing as Rock is hit.

Agreed with the others that Smith needs to save his own ass in getting out of a toxic relationship.
