I have to agree with Carville. He does fail to mention that historical forces can intervene. Had Bush not been an idiot and invaded Iraq, had he actually done something about the housing bubble instead of waiting till it imploded, etc, maybe they would not have alienated as many youths and minorities. Obama may have his Iraq in front of him or he may have to deal with 20% interest rates and double digit inflation. He'd become very unpopular real quick.

Moral of the story. Democrats would be wise not to be arrogant or cocky.

How is a President going to control interest rates which Greenspan kept so low and led to such easy money?
 
He has his moments, but he's just too repitive. This End22 bit was funny the first couple of times, but now its old and decrepid. His whole persona as an Obama nutsucker and party ultraloyalist are often hysterical, though.

Yeah, I was referring more to the continuous posting of end22.
