Japanese puzzle solved after 10 years

I love puzzles but they don't always love me.

I design repairs for building structure and they are, by any definition, puzzles. I find it very satisfying because when I'm done a building gets a new lease on life and I get a fat check.

I also design exterior "curtain" walls for commercial buildings and that is a puzzle figuring out what the architect and structural engineer are trying to do. Again, a fat check provides motivation.

I can't see wasting time on rope puzzles.
