Judge "Bizzaro" Ellis can't save Manafort from the DC court.

And yes, when you go back and review Judge Ellis' behavior during the trial, and his very light sentencing of Manafort, "Bizzaro" is certainly a reasonable label. Sadly, Ellis' actions only serve to enforce the mindset that rich white guys get treated better judicially than do other citizens. That said, this judge does have a history of going easy on "white collar" criminals, so the "light" sentence is not that hard to understand. Hopefully, the DC judge will have a much better view on how the justice system should work for ALL citizens, and not just those of privilege.

I thought you liberals don't like people to go to prison for "nonviolent offenses". The only exception is nonviolent Trump supporters?

International money laundering and criminal conspiracies seem to be a bit different. I guess bank fraud, and tax evasion also are jailable offenses. Hiding 14 foreign bank accounts is also criminal. Maybe witness tampering hits a chord for you? Perhaps when he showed absolutely no remorse has meaning for you?

Just asking why Democrats are changing their standard in this one case. An elderly, nonviolent offender and you guys practically want to give him the chair. To what end? Many of your fellow liberals have been gleefully posting about how he will "die in prison". Are any of the crimes you cited violent? What happened to calls for diversion for nonviolent offenses? Do your buddies hate Manafort for the crimes he committed many years ago? I suspect the rabid hate is because of his association with Trump.

Awwww....poor snowflake is triggered Manafort won't be spending much time in Prison.

I can't imagine how your head will explode when Trump pardons him. BUT, at least you can console your TDS knowing that Cohen will NOT be getting a pardon. ;)

I never said non violent criminals should not serve time. I do not believe that. Anyone thing Madoff should not have gotten time? You presume to talk for people without knowing the facts . Maybe someone said that to to you once, but white collar criminals steal in enormous amounts and deserve to pay bigly.

You mean like Bernie Madoff non violent?

Not exactly...

Diversion away from prison for nonviolent offenders is a plank in the democratic party platform. I'm surprised you weren't aware.

There is a woman who got busted for illegal voting. She did not know that being put on probation meant she could not vote. She got 5 years.
I am surprised you do not know the difference. There are major crimes by white collars that do a lot more damage than any robbery or burglary. Manafort is a huge criminal dealing in millions of dollars. He should rot in jail.

I take it you are disappointed with the sentence......
