Oh I think they will most likely get a conviction given the locale and the likely low information voters on the jury

It did address the OP, this judge seems to be fair and isn’t what Don perceives him to be. He isn’t taking sides, he’s presiding over the case and has come down on both sides.

There's nothing in that article that says the judge "isn't what Don perceives him to be".
