A federal judge has found former New York City mayor and Donald Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani liable for defaming two Georgia election workers who he falsely accused of tampering with the 2020 election results.

Giuliani will still go to trial in D.C. federal court on the amount of monetary damages he owes to Ruby Freeman and Wandrea ArShaye Moss for defaming them. But Judge Beryl A. Howell has already ordered Giuliani to pay roughly $132,000 in sanctions between his personal and business assets for failures to hand over relevant information to the plaintiffs.

Rudy lost just like Alex Jones did. Failure to provide the required documents asked for in discovery results in sanctions that include losing your lawsuit.

The judge has also ruled that if Giuliani fails to pay the ordered sanction for opposing attorney fees, the jury will be instructed that they must infer that he is hiding assets unless he turns over the documents he has refused to turn over so far.

He better hope his $100,000 fund raiser makes some money.

He hasn’t been paying his bills, he owes $57,000 for his consulting firms phone bill. They are suing him as well.

Rudy Giuliani will have to sleep in the bed that he made for himself.
 
I suspect the jury will award the plaintiffs tens of millions of dolllars. Sadly, he will be in prison and unable to pay.
 
Guiliani is just one of many willful idiots that lost his entire fortune while trying to be part of Donald Trump's FUN BUNCH!

Not everyone. Just trumpys. Trump made a huge plot and enforced it with lies. In order to stay in the good graces with Trump or to get power if Trump got back in, they had to go along with all the fabrications. Trump's lies hurt people, but he did not care. People who worked with Trump in his plot will do time. Trump does not care. Rudy is unable to afford attys. He has wrecked his reputation and his life. Trump does not care.
Trump does not care about the companies that made election machines. Let them die. Let the jobs evaporate. It is called winning. The people who work in elections? Scerew them. Their reputations can die and their belief in America's election does not matter.
 
Wonder how many of our own Trump puppets defamed them, not that slander from them would be worth spit to a jury.
 
So glad to see him held accountable like this.

But this is just one of MANY cases where people who just wanted to help their country were wrongly accused, and had their lives turned upside down as a result. What conservatives and election deniers have done is despicable.

Rudy is fucked. I assume he didnt turn it over because it would have been worse than just losing this case.

Giuliani struggling under massive legal bills after defending Trump
Rudy Giuliani is staring down hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal bills and sanctions amid numerous lawsuits in addition to the new criminal charges – related to his work for Donald Trump after the 2020 election.

In court on Monday, the former New York City mayor said the legal quagmires have left him effectively out of cash. He even appears to have responded to some of the money crunch by listing for sale a 3-bedroom Manhattan apartment he owns for $6.5 million.

Not including standard legal fees, Giuliani faces nearly $90,000 in sanctions from a judge in a defamation case, a $20,000 monthly fee to a company to host his electronic records, $15,000 or more for a search of his records, and even a $57,000 judgment against his company for unpaid phone bills.

“These are a lot of bills that he’s not paying,” Giuliani attorney Adam Katz told a New York state court on Wednesday. “I think this is very humbling for Mr. Giuliani.”...
