Yep folks, you probably never heard that New York passed and Hochel signed off on a bill called the John Lewis Voting Rights Act. What this bill did was privilege certain minorities and groups such that they could, in effect, challenge or have thrown out any election result where they did not get someone from their selected minority or group elected.
That is, it was essentially a Jim Crow-type law that privileged certain minority groups.
