Not quite. Doing so right before Trump is inaugurated is going to cause issues. Since Trump was convicted of felonies jail time will be involved. That is a major issue. Whatever fines are imposed will be just as serious an issue. There is going to be a state vs. federal jurisdiction issue. The whole opens a huge can of worms and oh shits for New York and Merchan. It could possibly open serious issues for the nation and Presidential powers as well. Merchan is a fool.
