Are christians idolators?
I'm just asking for a friend.
Praying to a man IS idolatry
There is no such concept as “THE messiah” in Judaism. None, not one single word about “THE messiah.”
There are passages about “A” messiah, sure. Because the messiah will be just one of a long line of messiahs. There were messiahs born before this one, and there will be messiahs born AFTER this one.
The messiah who will return all the Jews to Israel and rebuild the Temple will not be the last one. In fact, he will be messiah #168. There were 167 named messiahs in the Jewish bible, listed by name, that came before the one everyone think as “the” messiah. Every Jewish king was a messiah. Their names are there if you want to look them up.
All High priests.

Most judges.
Even non-Jews are on the list, ”This is what the Lord says to his messiah, to Cyrus..” (Isaiah 45:1)
Count them all up, you get 167 names.
messiah tasked with these things will not be sinless, or perfect, or will be prayed to and idolized,
He will be just a man. He will marry and have kids
He will sin and repent for those sins.
And Jews don’t believe Jesus was “the messiah” because he fulfilled no prophecy.
None.
Zero.
He wasn’t even of the line of David through his father.
(And before anyone mentions the genealogy in Matthew 1 or Luke 3, don’t. I know what they say better than you do, and you’ll just get embarrassed)
