Point taken, the Florida delegation to the US House is majority Republican, which means it makes even LESS sense that a Republican US House pulled offshore drilling legislation to appease "the people of Florida" as the original idiot concluded.
Wrong AGAIN, Einstein.
The majority of republicans in the Florida congressional delegation, have a record of oppossing offshore drilling in Florida:
WASHINGTON - Almost every member of Florida's congressional delegation is calling for removal of language from Senate and House energy bills that proposes an inventory of natural gas and oil reserves in the eastern Gulf of Mexico, arguing it will undermine a decades-old moratorium on offshore drilling.
"Once again Florida's coastal treasures are coming under attack," said Rep. Jim Davis, D-Tampa. "In what is becoming a nearly annual battle, supporters of the oil industry are using every method possible to weaken the congressional moratoria on drilling of our most pristine coastlines."
Davis and Rep. Jeff Miller, R-Chumuckla, sent a letter to House and Senate leadership Tuesday, signed by 24 of 25 of Florida's members of Congress and Gov. Jeb Bush, explaining the majority of Floridians oppose drilling because of their concerns over an oil spill and the environmental and economic damage it could do. Rep. John Mica, R-Winter Park, didn't sign the letter.

BTW: for the record, you were wrong about Florida having two democratic senators, and you were wrong about guessing that the Florida U.S. House delegation was majority democrat.
Are you EVER right?
