WASHINGTON (AP) — A Republican megadonor paid two years of private school tuition for a child raised by Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, who did not disclose the payments, a lawyer who has represented Thomas and his wife acknowledged Thursday.

The revelation of tuition payments made by Dallas billionaire Harlan Crow is the latest example of Crow’s generosity to Thomas and his family that has raised questions about Thomas’ ethics and disclosure requirements more generally. The payments, along with the earlier examples of Crow’s financial ties to Thomas, were first reported by the nonprofit investigative journalism site ProPublica.

ProPublica reported Thursday that Crow paid tuition for Thomas’ great-nephew Mark Martin.

The Biden's need an independent prosecute. A Whistle blower has already pointed out DOJ interference in the potential prosecution of Hunter.

Why would he do that? Thomas and wife bring down almost a million a year. I know why he would. He wants an in with the most powerful court in the nation. He has companies that have been in the court. He may have more in line.
However, Thomas and Crow are doing serious damage to the court. A wealthy guy paying bills for a Supreme Court judge is terrible. The Supreme Court has to maintain its reputation. The people have to believe they will act according to the law. It is easy to see that Thomas might be on Crow's side.
Let's get 2 ropes.

The kid lived with Thomas, was raised by him, and Thomas himself considered the kid like a son.

Corruption and impropriety aside, what self respecting man just lets some other dude pay for the tuition and education of his dependent child, stepchild, whatever?

Rich people give scholarships away all of the time. Not a big deal and this is chump change. Not like all the money a mega donor paid to bail the president's son out of taxes that he evaded. One is to help a worthy minority student the other is to help a tax cheat.
 
SCOTUS needs to be held to the same standards as other institutions.

This is getting out of hand. Alito is complaining about the lowered perception of the Court - but it is well deserved.
