KASH IS KING

Kash Patel has been confirmed as FBI Director.

The U.S. Senate voted on February 20, 2025, to confirm his nomination with a vote of 51-49.

Two Republicans, Senators Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski, joined Democrats in opposing his confirmation, but the Republican majority in the Senate secured his approval.

This vote followed a Senate Judiciary Committee advancement on February 13, 2025, by a 12-10 party-line vote, and a procedural vote earlier in the week to move the nomination forward.

Patel, a close ally of President Donald Trump, now assumes leadership of the FBI, replacing Christopher Wray.

An email from FBI Director Kash Patel that was sent to the bureau’s employees outlines his plans to express his “intent to reduce the footprint of the National Capital Region.

Patel goes on to say, “this will include reallocating personnel to the field offices and Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville.”

The FBI director adds, “ I have asked leadership team to develop a proposal to implement this vision. More information will be provided later this week.”
