Key Republicans break with Trump

After a panel of CNN guests joked that Trump would win the election 'when the sun rises in the west', the President tweeted: "BIG NEWS. Am signing EO mandating Fed Agencies to swap east and west on maps. Scientists are not smart, directions are FAKE NEWS pushed by Democrat activists'

White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany issued a statement saying 'The President continues to think outside the box and challenge the long held beliefs of the radical left academic community. He is working tirelessly on behalf of the American people to make sure they know the truth that the Fake News refuses to acknowledge'

At least four Republicans broke with the President, including Senator Susan Collins who said 'I don't necessarily think it's a good idea for the President to be getting into the map making business. There may be more important things for him to do at this time'.

Mitch McConnell quickly came to the defense of the President. 'Who is to say what's up and what's down, what's East and what's West. We have an old saying in Kentucky that the rooster crows at the break of dawn, he doesn't need to check a map'. Jim Jordan quickly lined up behind the President. In an angry press conference, Jordan attacked the media for 'just accepting whatever these radical college professors tell them. Damn right they've got their directions wrong. The President is draining the swamp. You know damn well that Barack Obama, the Kenyan interloper, wanted people to believe these old maps. Those days are over'.

Marco Rubio had no comment.

I hear a few Republicans are wearing masks now too. It's great that Republicans are so courageous.

It's about time that some of the more ethical and courageous GOP senators speak out.

Actually, that time was months ago. If I had posted this at the start of the pandemic and replaced maps with masks, it would have seemed almost as absurd as the satirical take. Because that's how stupid the cult has become, and that's how pathetic Republicans in Congress have become.

I can't agree more with you.

Permission to share this elsewhere, please? It's brilliant. Sad, but brilliant.
