Lefty Antisemitism is Growing

Liberals’ willful blindness to the anti-Semitism raging on the left is a dangerous game.

Recently the national co-chair of the Women’s March, Tamika Mallory,attended a Nation of Islam event*in which Louis Farrakhan called Jews his “enemy” and held them responsible for “this filth and degenerate behavior that Hollywood is putting out turning men into women and women into men.” Mallory had previously posted a photo of herself with Farrakhan and praised him as the “GOAT” or “greatest of all time” in her caption.

When Mallory finally responded to critics, she cast herself as a victim and defended Farrakhan. Fellow Women’s March co-chairs Linda Sarsour and Carmen Perez also defended Farrakhan.

While liberal groups (Jewish and otherwise) have indicated they’ll put up with the anti-Semitism in the name of left-wing social justice, some Jews declined to participate in the Women’s March-sponsored National Schoo

I did not see anything about this in the article linked in the opening post. Are you saying that you agree with the article in the opening post, but do not wish to comment on it? So you shift attention toward Trump supporter antisemitism instead?

Recently, it was last year that she attended and as she explained, the black community and the Nation of Islam have a complicated relationship. This does not excuse Farrakan’s Remarks about the Jews, but it is far more complicated than simple minded people such as yourself can understand. These young black men are a sign in their community of security.
Responsibility and change. They are doing something positive in the black communities where others failed to care or act.
When someone brings you hope, sometimes it leads you to ignore the other things about their message. If we don’t want Farrakhan and his message prevailing, maybe we should help other black leaders who don’t preach hate against the Jews fill this role.

Farrakhan? You use him? He is no lefty. He is not a member of the Dems nor does he speak for them. He has been a joke for decades. He has some twisted religious beliefs that he tries to spread. But he has always been a footnote in American politics. He barely speaks for black Muslims.

I don't blame you for not accepting him as the lefty he is. Are you going to disown Ilhan Omar as well?

It is too late to deny that the left is having a problem with antisemitism. Why not just own the fact that the left is the party of antisemitism?

I have no problem with Omar except when rightys lied about what she said. Farrakhan is not a lefty. He has all the violence of rightys. He is religious like rightys pretend to be. He is one of yours. He is not a member of the Dems or the left.

Lol, he is certainly the hot potato to Dems right now. I see Dems trying to distance themselves from him now that lefty antisemitism has come into the spotlight, but we all know he is a lefty. You are doing a fine job toting the lefty line.

Trump did not defend Nazis. What he said was that there were good people on both sides of the Confederate statues issue.

Think about it. Why would any world leader say that Nazis were good people? No, not even Trump would do that. And, if he really had said that, wouldn't Israel have noticed? How about U.S.Jews? How about his own Jewish family members?

He did say it,and he thinks Nazis are good people,they are part of his base.
