The Revenge Tour continues and our democracy suffers.

It's pretty obvious to anyone not under the spell.

They're wildly different issues - but I liken this to the Iraq War. Rational people knew at the time that it was dumb, and wrong. But the right fell into lockstep, and didn't question it.

Of course they ended up on the wrong side of history, and most deny ever supporting it now.

It will be the same w/ Trump and what he's doing right now. In 10 years, we'll hear a lot of "well, I just couldn't vote for Harris" and not much "Trump is awesome!"

Word is that this indictment is every bit as bad and specious as the Comey one has proven to be, which means it almost certainly will not survive the motions to dismiss.

So i suspect her smug look is fully in place and only getting stronger as she realizes she will make a fool of the Trump admin and best him once again.

The admin will look stupid. But get ready for Trump & his cult to yell "rigged!" when they don't get what they want.

Here is a link to the indictment.

This is pretty sketchy.
It alleges that more than five years ago James took out a mortgage claiming it was her second home. That puts the original document outside the statute of limitations. They then try to get it into the statute of limitations by saying those original documents apply to all payments after that. This is pretty ridiculous because it means everyone that ever bought a home, live in it for a while and then rent it out could be accused of this crime.

They have the documents cthat prove she lied on her mortgage application more than once. She is a freaking lawyer and KNEW what she was doing and apparently lied in order to get a lower interest rate mortgage. Do you want her to get away with breaking the law? Sad.

Even you know that isn't what this is about.

Comey may win but they have Letica dead to right with signed documents.

Sad.

Our creep into authoritarianism continues.
They started it.

Yeah, but it's a Michael Jordan slam dunk guilty. Whatever the penalty is, she's going to get it. ;)
I thought she had NY indictments? :dunno:

Yup. Exactly.

This is what i said in the Comey Indictment thread for when the judge dismisses that one.

The only other question at issue is how much magats will cry unfair, blame the judge, blame the deep State, and acknowledge anything but Trump and his admins stupidity as to why this case failed.

:rofl2:

You are such a fool and a dupe.

There is nothing, NOTHING, dead to rights here or Trumps prior US Attorney would not have failed in his attempt to indict and then been fired and replaced by Trumps personal lawyer who is practiced Insurance law and is not a prosecutor.

This case like the Comey case will not make it to trial they will both be dismissed.

And i can 100% predict what you will say then. You will claim a deep state or dirty judge and that they both got them dismissed for procedural reasons which you will claim does not prove they are innocent.

You will ignore that if these cases were good ones Trump would easily get very good lawyers from the right to Prosecute them. He cannot and his personal lawyer, who does insurance has to do it because no experienced lawyer will because these lawyers may join the LONG and GROWING list of those who have done Trumps bidding and got disbarred or prosecuted and jailed.

James said on a mortgage form and insurance form a home in Virginia was her primary residence while she was AG in New York then she said on an IRS form that it was rental property. Primary residences get a lower mortgage and lower insurance premium rate.

While it is theoretically possible that agents of power that were doing illegal acts in the service of the oligarchs will be held to account I would not put any money on it, and to the extent it does happen it will be like abu Ghraib.... the fewest and the lowest rank possible will be sacrificed.
