A win for US Atty Lindsey Halligan last night.
The judge denied Letitia James' request to force Halligan to keep a log of her communications with reporters (IF ONLY THIS WERE THE CASE UNDER THE BIDEN DOJ.)
The purpose was to limited Halligan's interactions with the media.
James made the request after Lawfare published text messages between Halligan and reporter Anna Bauer.
James' attorneys complained that Halligan was making "extrajudicial statements" and had "commented on the purported strength of the case she was bringing."Her attorneys continued: "in order to ensure a fair trial and impartial proceedings for Attorney General James, we respectfully seek the Court’s intervention to prevent any further disclosures by government attorneys and agents of investigative and case materials, and statements to the media and public, concerning this case and any parties or witnesses."
