“If a corporation put these kind of statements in their quarterly filings, they would be seen to be purposefully misleading and deemed fraud,” the New York senator said.

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand said Sunday that multiple Supreme Court justices lied in their confirmation hearings about abortion, echoing the statements of Sens. Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins in the wake of the leak of a draft Supreme Court opinion.

“If a corporation put these kind of statements in their quarterly filings, they would be seen to be purposefully misleading and deemed fraud,” Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) said on CNN’s “State of the Union.” “I think they misled the Senate with the intention of getting their confirmation vote with the intention of overruling Roe.”

Pious fraud is a term applied to describe fraudulent practices used to advance a religious cause or belief. This type of fraud may, by religious apologists, be explained as a case of the ends justify the means.

Ignoring for a moment that a lying thief calling another a liar is laughable, what EXACTLY is this particular lying thief claiming is a lie?

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand

I wonder if the senator is ignorant of WHY every candidate for the SC bench says I cannot answer about how I would decide a particular case which might rise before the court.......same thing all nine of the people currently on the SC said in their interviews......

saying that a case is precedent doesn't negate the possibility or even probability that an argument might be framed which would reverse it.......
