(05-08) 18:49 PDT SAN FRANCISCO -- Bernie Ward, the most prominent liberal voice on Bay Area talk radio for more than two decades, admitted Thursday to distribution of child pornography by e-mail in a plea deal that will send him to federal prison for at least five years.

Ward, 57, a former Roman Catholic priest, was a fixture on KGO-AM 810 for three hours every weeknight, known in recent years for his fervent denunciations of President Bush and the war in Iraq during his news talk show. He also hosted "God Talk," a Sunday morning program on religion, and was a prolific fundraiser for the station's charity drives.

This is exactly why I left the Roman Catholic church several years back...until and if the Roman Catholic church boots out all the Liberal Perv priests...I will continue being a Independent Christian...
I also find it Ironic that the liberals tear into the Catholic church...when the problem is that it is infiltrated by Liberal Perv Priests!

I used to listen to Bernie a lot on my drive home. Man was it self torture. He claimed he was talking to children online as research for a book. Any Bay Area folks here know who took over his time slot on KGO?

It is really more of a question of probability. It is not like it is a characteristic of a certain political party, but if you are a serial felon, illegal drug user, on welfare, or into child pornography, you are more likely to be a Liberal/Democrat rather than a Conservative/Republican.
