One of the “men” on the left recently sent the woman’s baby to the hospital with brain bleeding and broken bones, and has been arrested.
A man in a polyamorous relationship that consists of three men and one woman and was celebrated by the media has now been charged with abusing an infant.
The polyamorous relationship–consisting of four men and one woman–made a splash across several media outlets who attempted to decipher the dynamics of the unorthodox relationship as the woman had become pregnant by one of the men.
One of the men in the unconventional relationship, Ethan Baucom, 22, from Jacksonville, has been charged with aggravated child abuse fracturing the 5-week-old baby’s arm, leg, ribs, and skull.
Thankfully, the infant will not suffer any permanent damage.
The reporting officer wrote, “He stated he believed he heard a ‘pop’ during the occurrence,” in the heavily redacted report, according to FHN Jacksonville, who went onto report:
The 5-week-old girl’s grandmother gave more details in a email to The Times-Union, saying the baby suffered a broken leg, arm, ribs and skull fractures.
“I am so distraught that words cannot describe,” the grandmother said. “Oh the horror of all this! I’m so overwhelmed with pain, heartache and sorrow over this.”
Baucom is currently behind bars with bail set at $250,000.
At the end of last year, the media ran several pieces on the expectant new family.
Many publications gushed about how a "family" with four men and one woman would work in raising a child, painting an idyllic picture for the "21st century relationship".
