My personal definition is somewhat simpler: I don't care what you do, as long as it doesn't impact me or any other innocent being.
Liberals love to claim that conservatives are authoritarians, but how can that be true if the conservative is also a libertarian? Obviously, their claim is untrue. It is just another narrative put out by liberals to demonize conservatives. It is liberals themselves who are the authoritarians, as evidence by their lust for limitless government power.
A libertarian is committed to the principle that liberty is the most important political value. Liberty means being free to make your own choices about your own life, that what you do with your body and your property ought to be up to you. Other people must not forcibly interfere with your liberty, and you must not forcibly interfere with theirs.
