LIEberman proposes tax to keep war going!!!!

So glad i voted for Lamont

We should tax so that way the people would know where the money is spent

HARTFORD, Conn. -- With the war in Iraq costing hundreds of millions of dollars a day, and the country about to enter the fourth year of the conflict, Sen. Joe Lieberman is suggesting creating a tax to support the war.

Lieberman said a special tax to support the war would make it clear to taxpayers how their money is being used. He said the tax would ease the squeeze military spending puts on domestic programs.

The majority of Connecticut residents who spoke to Eyewitness News on Wednesday said they are not thrilled about the idea of a special tax

You know ihis is not such a bad idea, this way we know how much this war is costing us and don't run up the debt over it. Pay as you go or stay home :)
this way the armchair warriors supporters can share in the pain of the war.
Just a bit anyway, a pain in the wallet is not nearly as bad as dying or having your legs blown off.

this could be a way to get the national VAT off the ground...
