After this i really doubt he'll win election again in Connecticut

SEN. JOSEPH LIEBERMAN (I), CONNECTICUT: Well, this was — now, thanks, Neil. Good to be back with you.

This was part of a speech I gave at Johns Hopkins University this morning, in which I talked about a tradition of the Democratic Party that I grew up in, with President Truman, Kennedy, even Clinton and Gore — internationalist, idealistic, willing to use force to protect our security and our values. And we have lost it for now.
President Bush has picked it up. And I argue here that we should stop worrying so much about our political distaste for President Bush, or Democrats' distaste, and find common ground to protect our security.

So, it's a troubling time when you get to a point where elected officials are more worried about what Bush might do than they're worried about what — to Iran — than they are worried about the fact that Iran is killing American soldiers.

#1. first and foremost i haven't heard anything or read anything about Iran troops killing our troops. its just not true, i mean if it was true would we have had the IRANIAN PRESIDNET in NYC?

THATS FIRST

#2 saying we lost the ability to protect ourselves until bush, but he sites Clinton and gore, so who came after him?? Bush, so how can we lose something he claims back to the other administration?

#3, are you kidding me, of course people are afraid bush will use it for war with Iran, he hasn't been remotely truthful about iraq, he lied us into war so why should we believe him now.

Hey, at least Bush is better than Gore/Kerry/Clinton. Or something like that.

Lieberman is a war-mongering radical.

Is he, I haven't seen that, how do you mean?

In the preference to the nation of Israel way. He is one who would show them preference in foreign affairs based on their race. That is racist to me and not unlike most of the presidents we've had in this country.
