Joyeuses fêtes !

A recent lawsuit alleges Linda McMahon, who President-elect Donald Trump tapped to lead the Department of Education, knowingly enabled the sexual exploitation of children by a World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) employee as early as the 1980s — allegations she denies.

McMahon is the former CEO of the WWE, which she co-founded with her husband, Vince. As head of the WWE, Linda McMahon oversaw its transformation from a wrestling entertainment company into a publicly traded media empire. She stepped down in 2009 to run for Senate, but she lost in Connecticut in 2010 and 2012.

As McMahon — who co-chairs Trump’s transition team — vies to be confirmed as Education secretary, a recent lawsuit raises questions about her care for children’s safety at the WWE.

The suit alleges McMahon, her husband, the WWE and TKO Group Holdings, the league’s parent company, knowingly allowed employee Melvin Phillips Jr. to use his position as ringside announcer to sexually exploit children.

The filing alleges Phillips would recruit children to work as “Ring Boys,” helping him set up and take down wrestling rings at WWE events. However, the job was a guise for sexually exploiting the children, which Phillips would do even in front of wrestlers and executives in the locker area, the lawsuit alleges. He also would often film his sexual abuse, according to the filing.

The suit was filed in October in Baltimore County, Maryland, on behalf of five John Does, who say they were ages 13 to 15 when Phillips met and recruited them to work as “Ring Boys.” Each of them say they suffered mental and emotional abuse as a result of the alleged abuse.

“Phillips lured and manipulated the young boys with promises of meeting famous wrestlers and attending the highly popular wrestling shows, experiences that were otherwise unattainable for these kids,” the lawsuit alleges. “(The McMahons, WWE and TKO Holdings) allowed Phillips and others to engage in, and foster, the WWE’s rampant culture of sexual abuse.”

At age 13, she started having sex for money. At age 17, she married one of the boys that paid her for sex. Now she wants to be in charge of education... really?

It totally makes sense that MAGA would make a professional wrestling entertainment promoter the U.S. Secretary of Education.
Now, was she the head of that thing, or was it her husband she's separated from, you fuckin' ninnies?!

This is 100% political lawfare. Probably more chum to catch baddies like Gaetz was. :D

I think they're planning to deconstruct the entire smear apparatus.

Allegedly, Walter. Allegedly.
Linda McMahon was born on October 4th, 1948. She got married on August 26th, 1966. That would make her 17 when she got married.

There are no allegedly's involved. It is what it is. Plenty of people make mistakes when they are 17, but the problem here is that she wants others to copy her mistakes.

She and her husband gave millions to the now-defunct Trump Foundation over the years. Yet she still supports him.

"Through WWE, the McMahons were major donors to The Donald J. Trump Foundation, giving $4 million in 2007 and $5 million in 2009...

After Donald Trump made an appearance at WrestleMania 23 in 2007, the McMahons donated $5 million to the Donald J. Trump Foundation in addition to the payment for the appearance. In 2016, McMahon donated $6 million to Rebuilding America Now, a Super PAC with the purpose of electing Donald Trump as US president,.."

Where is QAnon and their caring for children, trying to protect them against groomers now?

Where are those people who claimed Hillary had a pedo ring?

Those same people will sit back and approve of this woman’s appointment.

I love the WSJ editorial page because it's still a bastion of traditional Republicanism. Liberals hate it of course as do many #MAGA types who think the WSJ is a bunch of RINO, swampish neocons.

The editorial page is not afraid to call out their disagreements with Trump (or his nominees) so I was curious how they would react to the McMahon choice.

Well here it is...

Trump Hires an Education Wrestler

Linda McMahon has a long to-do list reversing Biden policies.

Who says Donald Trump doesn’t have a sense of humor? See his choice of former World Wrestling Entertainment CEO Linda McMahon to lead the Education Department, a job that will require brawling with an oversized bureaucracy, teachers unions and other special interest heavyweights.

The Biden Administration has effectively turned the Education Department into an arm of the teachers unions and cultural left. Ms. McMahon’s top priorities will be ending student loan write-offs, rolling back the department’s Title IX regulation, devolving school control to the states and promoting alternative education pathways.

Start with stanching red ink in the $1.6 trillion federal student loan program. The Biden team has unilaterally canceled more than $175 billion in debt, which doesn’t include the cost of its pandemic forbearance and SAVE plan. The latter eliminates payments for four million borrowers and reduces them for others by hundreds of dollars a month.

The Congressional Budget Office estimates that about 25% of student debt disbursed over the next decade will be written off mainly because of the SAVE and Obama income-based repayment plans. While federal courts have put the SAVE plan on hold, the Biden team has suspended required payments for eight million borrowers already enrolled.

Scrapping the SAVE plan and requiring borrowers to resume making payments will no doubt provoke an outcry on the left. But the free lunch can’t continue forever, and it’s unfair to Americans who didn’t attend college or repaid their loans. More young Americans are deciding college isn’t worth it, and why should they have to subsidize degrees in community organizing?

Freshman college enrollment this year declined by 5%, and the drop was especially steep for public and nonprofit four-year institutions. One culprit may be the Biden team’s bungling of the new Free Application for Federal Student Aid. But enrollment in trade schools and apprenticeship programs has also grown since the beginning of the pandemic.

Ms. McMahon has touted Switzerland’s apprenticeship model, which combines on-the-job training for teens with classroom instruction. She could work with Congress to turn the department’s dozens of grant programs into block grants, which states could use to fund apprenticeships, charter schools or private school-choice options.

The teachers unions and education bureaucrats oppose block grants because they want to control how federal dollars are spent. But federal programs that target taxpayer dollars at particular groups, such as homeless youth, children of migrant farm workers, “distressed communities,” Native Americans and others, have failed to improve K-12 outcomes.

Student test scores nationwide were flat during the decade preceding the pandemic. Most children still haven’t made up for learning losses during the school closures despite the $190 billion in Covid funds that Congress doled out to K-12 schools. One reason is union rules that make it hard to hold teachers accountable for student outcomes.

Another is that school district bureaucrats and teachers unions have focused more on indoctrinating kids with critical race theory than teaching reading and math. The Biden Title IX rule has also forced schools and colleges to hire compliance officers to ensure they don’t violate Washington diktats and the left’s cultural orthodoxy.

The Biden rule rolled back Trump Education Secretary Betsy DeVos’s due-process protections for students accused of sexual harassment and assault. It also required schools to make accommodations for transgender students. Vanquishing Washington’s bloated education bureaucracy will be a knock-down drag-out fight that Ms. McMahon may be well-suited for.

If I have lied about when she was born, and when she got married, you would have a major win by proving that.
You don't provide links... I have no way of knowing if what you're posting here is factual or not... I'm not looking for a "win"...lol... That's silly....i'm just asking.
