No. It was Nancy Pelosi who led the bank bailouts. In fact there is mutual ground between those on the left and right regarding the bank bailouts. But if we are going to tie someone to a group because they share similar beliefs...

so he was a decades long member of an anti-tax group but somehow the tea party being in existence for a year influenced in tax views. That makes a lot of sense.

Let me ask this way. The tea party said they were against the bank bailout. OWS said they were against bailout. If someone is against the bank bailout does that mean they are supporters of the tea party and OWS or could it mean they share similar beliefs on that issue with those groups but don't associate themselves with either one?
