Joe Biden - "Time to put Trump in the bullseye."
Yet another enormous in-your-face double standard from the left.

june 1 2018 Brittany Lincicome has been offered a sponsor exemption to compete on the PGA Tour this summer at the Barbasol Championship.

Lincicome, 32, a winner of eight LPGA Tour titles, including two major championships, is one of the longest-hitting players in the women's game. She would join the likes of Annika Sorenstam and Michelle Wie as the only female golfers in recent times to play in an official PGA Tour event.

"I always thought it would be cool to try," Lincicome told reporters at the U.S. Women's Open in Birmingham, Alabama. "I'm not trying to prove anything."

The Barbasol Championship will be played July 19-22, opposite of The Open. It was won last year by Grayson Murray and will be played at Keene Trace Golf Club in Nicholasville, Kentucky.

Not really, if you actually stop and think before you let your knee jerk your big mouth open.

In order for a woman to play in the PGA she has to be exceptionally good. Any shmuck in the PGA could play and compete, if not win in the LPGA.

It's an honor for a woman to play in the men's league while it would be a disgrace for a man to play in the woman's league.

Therefore, no man would play in the LPGA even if allowed to.

It is, indeed the money. Perhaps we should consider why the women make so much less.

Easy, they draw far less viewers thus bring in less revenue and therefore pay the players less.

Same with all women's sports, but exactly the opposite in the fashion modelling world.

Women fashion models make several times more money than men.

In 2014, Gisele Bundchen made $47 million. The top male model made $1.5 million.

It's all about demand.

Golfers in general do not tend to be liberals.

True in a traditional sense but it is a sport that has become more accessible out of necessity to the masses in the last decade or so. Golf clubs are struggling to keep their doors open which has resulted in many of them getting off their high horses. People are less and less interested in a sport that takes hours to play.

Not only that, but it's expensive!!! Green fees for one round at a lower end course are in the neighborhood of $50 bucks. The better ones are in the $75 range and the high end courses cost well over $100 bucks per round.

The only people who, for the most part can afford to fork out that kind of dough on a regular basis are corporate business types, most of which are Repugnants. Of course, there are probably a lot of lower level Repugnant types who don't earn the really big bucks, but they need to suck up to the ones who do, so they spend money they can't really afford to play golf, then bitch about their taxes being too high as the reason they're just squeaking by. Golf is a boring shmoozer game and Repugnants are boring, world class shmoozers.

Public course spread a little further thanks to Tiger Woods' popularity, and some of the private clubs became semi-private to try to generate extra cash. A lot of people ended up giving up their memberships at the semi-privates because they played so seldom it was cheaper to pay as you go instead of dropping monthly checks in the mail. I think to survive, a lot of them need to give up the golf/pool/tennis triumvirate and add in other aspects that might lure in members for other things like gyms, mountain biking hours, video gaming lounges, maybe have fly-in days to close play and open the property up for drone user gatherings. Right now it is a slow death. Several in our region have dropped from 18 to 9 holes to reduce operating costs.
