It happened in the daytime over here...oh and it's cloudy as well.

I was able to see the Geminids on Monday and Tuesday as it was perfectly clear both nights.

Recently there were some nifty asteroids that passed by close enough for stargazers to enjoy. I would have gone out myself, but was trapped inside at work.

That reminds me of an old joke; why aren't haemorrhoids called asteroids? By the way, you are probably referring to the Geminids which I saw the other night. They would have been much easier to see if the moon wasn't so bright.
