Madiba in critical condition after returning to hospital over the weekend.

The extended family of Nelson Mandela were last night called urgently to the bedside.

Go well madiba.
You have cast off your own for that which you are not sure of, with your experience you shall never sleep in a strange place.

Madiba started life seeing injustice and division and spent a lifetime eradicating it.

Obama was born in freedom and has spent his life trying to deny freedom to others.

From what I read, Mandela was excited by the prospect of the Obama visit. We will see what Friday brings.

Whilst in hospital in a condition known ( to palliative care specialists ) as actively dying( unconscious according to the GCS ) he showed excitement.
I'm sure he cares only to be with his family right now.
But Obama is exited about the photo op.
That may be the big difference between Madiba and Obama.

Madiba, a man who recognized his faults and failings, celebrated them as a part of the human condition has greatness because of that wisdom, love and humility.
Madiba is a great leader.
The most influential person in the latter part of the 20th century.
