Agreed on both points. Unfortunately, most Americans won't realize these truisms until it's too late. The DOGE will end up costing American taxpayers more than it's saving them.

OTOH, the Oligarchy will be happy since the DOGE will use these "savings" to allow bigger tax cuts for themselves.

Maybe they should take this " savings " and use it to cut that amount down some.

Maybe they should take this " savings " and use it to cut that amount down some.

There is this army of people out there keeping everything working. We do not realize they even exist, but they are essential to us living our modern lives. trump is firing them without even caring what they do.

With the buyout, the most needed people will accept it. They can find better paying jobs elsewhere.

So the US Government is on the hook for paying them for 8 months, which they will not work. Then, because there jobs are important, the US Government has to try to find new people to do them in less than a week. And train them. So then for 8 months you are paying two people, one who can do the job well, but is not working, and one that is in training...

But we all know they are not going to hire new people that quickly. That means the job will just be left undone, or half done while one person tries to cover multiple jobs. When work is left undone, it usually costs more to pickup the pieces later.

None of this saves money.

We all have to feel the pain so they can steal tax payers money.
