“What a new poll shows about where Americans think the country is heading”

“Republicans’ outlook on the direction of the country has soured dramatically”

“The share of Republicans who see the country headed in the right direction has fallen sharply in recent months. Today, only about half in the GOP see the nation on the right course, down from 70% in June. The shift is even more glaring among Republican women and the party’s under-45 crowd.”

“The GOP shift in optimism, especially among younger Republicans and GOP women, is noteworthy for its scale. The drop in Republicans who see the country headed in the right direction is similar in scope to the decline that occurred in the first two months of the COVID-19 pandemic.”

“Overall, about one-quarter of Americans say things in the country are headed in the right direction”

A quarter, just a quarter of the country feels MAGA has America heading in the right direction, a quarter, one in four, “similar” to the first months of the Covid pandemic

But, but, but, “it’s Biden’s fault”

They don’t realize that because they are stuck in an echo chamber. In their world everybody they know leaves Trump is awesome.

The pension is quite adequate thank you...
Teachers unions negotiated a fat paycheck at retirement over a fat paycheck at the start. New teachers are often not paid well, but if you stick with it and continue education by the time you retire you will do well.

Military and masked thugs in our cities' streets, the silencing of alternative voices, threatening civil war to put down majority. All these things are what Republicans stand for now.1

I wouldn't go quite that far...lol... We never got a fat pay check... And never got good raises.... But it is for life and I am perfectly happy... I did not go in to teaching Is expecting to get rich... I grew up with two teachers...;) I am happy to see that things are getting a bit better pay wise... I made a little over $10,000.My first year so it's got to be a bit better than that;) Maybe cut those union presidents, executives etc. Salaries a little bit ...
