The law was “take the vax or lose your jobs.” True

They chose to not take the vax. They lost their jobs.

No room to bitch there. It was by choice they gave up their jobs.

Now, the law is rescinded. That happens. So, their jobs are now being offered back. And they refuse because they are offended and “livid”. Good. Keep cleaning toilets for a living because of your fucking ego.

At the time of the vaccines were being implemented it was believed, based on best speculation, that the vaccines would greatly limit spread, and thus the rightful precaution in a hospital setting it to err on the side of caution.

You CANNOT afford to err on the other side and say 'since we do not know what exact impact the vax will have, we will not take any steps to protect anyone' and then if many people die and it is proved later those steps would have saved lives, just say OOPS.


A derp will never understand and you prove that every day. You want to judge them on results after the fact, for actions taken in speculation. If a personal boat Captain/fisherman decides to get to shore because their is advisory of a serious storm and that storm does not come you are exactly the person to ridicule him as WRONG for taking an action he did not have to and losing a days pay. It is not WRONG, to take best practice precautions even if they prove unneeded after but Derps do not understand science.

Science escapes people like PMP.

The hindsight fallacy, bias, or that “I knew it all along” bullshit that PMP is touting. While in fact, PMP not only didn’t know shit all along, but still hasn’t learned from it.

We now know that the vax didn’t help prevent transmission very much at all. We didn’t know it then. That’s how science works. What we DID know and has been borne out, that the vax worked exceptionally well to prevent hospitalization and death. Hospitalization and death were the realms of the unvaccinated.

So, when the hospitals were overwhelmed with patients, turning away non-COVID cases, many resulting in death, the LAST thing they needed was adding their own staff to the mix.

The law was clear. The nurses chose to disobey it. They suffered the consequences of their choice. They surrendered their privilege to bitch about it.

These are supposed healthcare professionals. They chose not to get vaccinated, and were let go. There is no religious exemption, as the Catholic Church supported the vaccine.

I didn't read that text as 'begging'.

And I got a good chuckle from the comments of the 33 year nurse who claimed the nonprofit hospital 'cast her life into turmoil'.

She made that decision. Get vaccinated, or go work somewhere else. I seem to remember the morgues were inundated at the time, so she could have mopped the floors.

The nurse in question incorrectly claimed that fetal tissue was used in this vaccine. That blew the religious exemption nonsense out of the water. She refuses the annual flu shot, so is forced to wear a mask.

However, she has all of the other mandated vaccines with no worry about religious grounds.

$75k/year to work in a skilled nursing facility is great pay. She was a fool to leave that job.

Yup, the military derps were equally as bad.

They have no choice but to take a bunch of vaccines when they join and more when deployed to certain areas. The guys who whined and cried about the covid one, took all the ones prior and took the job knowing that was the expectation.

So i feel no sympathy for derps who read 'stuff' on the internet or who get their info from things like '2000 mules' and then pretend to be knowledgeable about anything.

Which is ironic, as he only had to pretend to show a modicum of compassion all year, and he probably would have won.

Anecdotal evidence aside, there are millions of vaxed/boosted people who didn't get Covid. I live with a nurse who got it 3 times and I have yet to catch it. I believe some people just don't get Covid.

The vaccine does lessen the symptoms, but we're discussing Covid Classic, and Covid 2.0 which was more virulent than the much milder mutations that we now see.
 
The Maine hospital, which dismissed unvaccinated nurses, now bills itself as the Best Aesthetic Clinic in Dubai,*which strikes me as hilarious. Although their priorities seem out of order, I trusted their advice on healthcare. Health should always come first, no matter how beautiful the site or design may be.
