An Asheboro man who help popularize the "Thank You Jesus" signs found in so many front yards faces a charge of sexual exploitation of a minor.

Lucas Timothy Hunt, 25, was arrested Tuesday. Police claim he received a video that showed two underage girls engaged in a sex act. A tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children led authorities to identify Hunt as a suspect. He was being held at the Randolph County jail on $75,000 secure bond.

According to Thank You Jesus Mission, Hunt, then a teenager, had the idea for the signs. What began as an Easter celebration in 2016 grew into an industry with over 250,000 signs, magnets, flags and bracelets sold to benefit spiritual non-profits.
