Man charged with killing teen who kicked Walmart cart was on parole for previous stabbing

I am a bigger guy, who used to be a boxer and a bouncer. I could probably win most fights I got into, but I am careful not to go around starting fights for this very reason. I am sure that kid thought he was attacking an easy mark, but it turned out to be a big mistake.

What is with these white rural kids attacking people?

My father, a retired NYC Homicide detective, said once that given half a chance, people are going to find a way to screw up. A bit cynical, to be sure, but note he said "people" and not just one particular race, creed or color. Years ago, comedian Jimmy J.J. Walker said that Ireland was living proof that without Blacks, Jews or Puerto Ricans people were STILL going to find a way to mess things up.

That all being said, one thing my old Kenpo sensei and my old Lama pai sifu taught was that you NEVER underestimate your opponent.
