WASHINGTON, (Reuters) -- Good news for aging hippies: Smoking pot may stave off Alzheimer's disease.

New research shows that the active ingredient in marijuana may prevent the progression of the disease by preserving levels of an important neurotransmitter that allows the brain to function.

That would be one heck of an ironic situation with the boomers....the straight lace ones will be suffering from Dementia and the Stoner Hippies will be cohearant and cognizant...! hahahaha!
 
I'm doing a little experiment, attempting to study for a philosophy degree on the Open University (correspondence course) whilst using MJ.

I've reached the end of the first module and am heading for a 1st.

The idea that smoking MJ makes you dopey is, IMO, a fallacy. If you are dopey anyway, MJ won't help, but if you aren't you'll be fine.

The criminalisation of MJ, based on massive lies, is a travesty.
