A global review of marijuana (cannabis) suggests it has been used by one in 25 adults aged 15 to 64 years.


Published in the Lancet, the report focuses on non-medical use.


Its authors, led by Professor Wayne Hall, say that cannabis is the most widely used illicit drug by young people in high-income countries.


Regular use “can have adverse outcomes.” They examined those of most interest for public health – dependence, risk of vehicle crashes, bronchitis and other airway diseases, heart disease, and effects on lifestyle and mental health.

I drove high one time back in the 80's when my brother and I took a trip cross country one night. The only impairment we experienced was we drove too slow if we didn't watch the speedometer.

I agree, but so does booze and it is legal. The fact is that if you grow your own pot, it is cheap compared to Booze, Pills, etc. If it was legal, I would not smoke it, but I would not look down on people who did smoke it, because I would lose too many friends. Let me emphasize as someone who has smoked it probably 6 times, it is very powerful. My problem was that after a few beers, pot hit me like a ton of bricks with only one hit. I believe that smoking Pot combined with some blood pressure medicine killed the great Bruce Lee, another hero of mine, along with Muhammad Ali. I know people who pop Vicodin pills all day long, where Marijuana would work just as good without their massive drug addiction, that many of them admit to. Rush Llimbaugh was addicted to OxyContin, pot would have helped him just as well as a pain reliever, I have heard.
