McDonald's is trying something new: Fresh beef

McDonald's is cooking up hamburgers with fresh beef in a few test locations in Texas, in a departure from the frozen patties it normally uses.

Other than an occasional breakfast at McD's or on a road trip I can't remember the last time I ate there. I mean unless you live out in the sticks where you have limited options I can go to a dozen places within a couple of miles that have a better burger than McDs and served just about as quickly. Also a lot of pubs these days are just killing it with their sandwiches. It wasn't that long ago most pub grub was frozen the fried. Now it's top notch chow at many.
