The wealthy who own the Republican party are very smart. They are the super-rich who handle Trump like a child. They have had long term plans to make a plutocracy and ignore the masses. They had to control them,. So long ago they decided to take over the media. Corporations and the wealthy bought up all the communications. They started with newspapers by busting unions and deleting many papers, eliminating competition and differing views. They got rid of the equal time provisions which made keeping people away from other opinions and making Fox Gnus and right-wing radio possible.
Now corporations own newspapers, radio stations, Sinclar bought up countless local TV stations. Corps own magazines, movie studios.
It is not trump. he is a buffoon. His accidental win was serendipity and they pulled the strings.
The wealthy figured out long ago that the Supreme Court was powerful and they could control that too. The Dems thought that the judges would rule according to law and in the long run be fair. The Repubs had no such illusions. They worked hard to take it over even refusing to let Obama seat his judge. They let a seat sit empty for a year hoping a Red would win. If Hillary won, that seat would still be vacant.
Now they are seating right-wing sycophant federal judges by the truckload. The wealthy right-wingers are remaking America.
The Koch bros. dad started the John Birch society. It was too extreme and was dismissed. They learned. They give the appearance of softening, but it is a ruse.
