Military calls cops on me when I try to stand near public meeting

For the most part, I do not see much that the government did wrong here. They can call the police to have a talk with someone. The camera man can refuse to talk to them. The government workers can refuse to talk to the camera man. The camera man seems like a bit of a jerk, but he is legally allowed to be a jerk.

A minor thing bothers me. The National Guardsman has a "US Army" on his uniform. It would be slightly better if his uniform made more clear he was in the National Guard, and therefore also part of the state law enforcement. The Federal army is not part of state law enforcement.

Anyway, he did not actually do any law enforcement, so it does not matter.
