Missouri man selling gun shot, killed in front of 10-year-old daughter


A Missouri man was gunned down in front of his 10-year-old daughter over the weekend after what is believed to be a gun sale via Craigslist went awry.

Jake Brantner, 39, was killed about 8:30 p.m. Sunday in a crowded parking lot in Kansas City, reports KCTV5. His daughter was sitting nearby in his truck when he was shot.

Police told the news station that Brantner went to the spot where he was killed to sell a handgun. His friends said the sale had been set up through Craigslist.

A witness told the station he initially thought Brantner might have fired back at his assailant to defend himself and his daughter because he still had a gun in his hand when he died.

No arrests had been made in the case Tuesday.

Selling a gun isn't what got him killed. Selling a gun to a murderer is what got him killed. He could have been selling a ring, and still been killed by the murdering asshole.

My point was people also go buy drugs on the street. Most deals go down without problem but not all.

It's because some idiot chose to break the laws about killing someone else. So sad you are too fucking stupid to tell the difference.

Chicago's gun laws aren't lax yet this type of thing happens regularly there. So much for it being the law's fault.

If you don't like guns, don't own one. If you don't like that I own guns, tough shit.
