We go round and round regarding the proper role of government. There is not a need or a want that the left does not think can be satisfied through the government.


So I propose a new law. The law is such. If you see a person on the side of the street holding a sign asking for money you are required to give them $5. If you are caught not giving them $5 you will be fined $10,000

My question is

1) if this is passed by the Congress under the rubric of the general welfare clause is it Constitutional
2) is it moral?
 
How much is your overhead?

That aint a bad price @ all..... He only needs a small, but nice office to hang his degrees. No equipment, no staff etc.....

You can voluntarily give money to whoever you want(almost) & additionally you are required to give some of your money to da gubment to do what they want~you, we have no say in it's use...

Some don't want their tax dollars going to poor kids, others don't want it going to make bombs, or foreigners &/or their gubments but we all share the same response TUFF SHIT..

Anytime Government acts in the interests of the few by taking from one group to give to another, is immoral.

It becomes particularly egregious when corrupt politicians appeal to ignorant masses to vote for them by promising them free stuff.

The Constitution is very clear on this; liberals should familiarize themselves with this document before they erupt ignorantly.

i've been told that it doesn't matter what I believe, only what liberals state to be reality, and that that is that we are the government.

Well it does say "we the ppl"... But even then, it meant just some ppl~kinda like it does now, just not so much..

STRAWMAN ALERT!!!!! You do not need a Government to have freedom. In fact, Governments reduce liberties and freedoms.

What Liberals are incapable of comprehending is that it is not about having Government, but rather, how to balance having a LIMITED Government with liberties.

You eschew a strawman that suggests that if one thinks Government is the problem, one must stupidly believe that we don't need it. That is utter bullshit.

It is like the leftist strawman used about global warming. Apparently, if you do not acknowledge man is causing it, you're a flat earther. False; we all know the planet is warming. It has been doing this without man for one million years. The notion that it is man that is causing it is the realm of idiots and fools willing to believe anything other than facts.
