more bad news on the torture front

"The Supreme Court's refusal to consider Jose Padilla's case leaves in place a blank check for government officials to commit any abuse in the name of national security, even the brutal torture of an American citizen in an American prison,"

this pretty much sums it up, that the federal government, all branches, have thrown away their constitutional duty. do you obamanites support this now? or do you still believe in that STRONG federal government?

The Supreme Court, without comment, affirmed an earlier appeals court ruling that said Rumsfeld and Panetta are immune from the suit for actions taken in their official capacity, and that Padilla's detention was a matter of national security policy under the purview of the executive and legislative branches.

^ that is asinine

Are you nuts? Bush caused everything Padilla is suing about.

This isn't a one-time event, jerkoff. You libs can not (or will not) pull your heads out of the past.

Actually it is a one time event. Padilla sued a couple Bush administration hacks, and the Supremes will not hear the case. End of story.
