More guns would have solved this?

A Florida man was charged with brandishing a firearm after being accused of pulling a gun on another trucker during what was supposed to be a fistfight on the shoulder of Interstate 95, police said.

Stafford Sheriff’s Office spokesman Bill Kennedy said the incident began in the southbound lanes of I–95. The victim, a 52-year-old, out-of-state trucker, told police he was on the CB radio with another trucker when the suspect got on the channel and started calling them names.

Kennedy said the victim challenged the suspect to a fistfight and both tractor–trailers pulled over on the shoulder of the interstate. The two men got out of their rigs, walked toward each other and squared off.

The victim alleged that the suspect pulled out a pistol and pointed it at him.

Kennedy said the victim retreated, got back into his truck and called police. The suspect left the highway, and Deputy Jason Kreider found his rig at a gas station.

Police said the suspect confirmed that he had pulled over to fight the victim after the CB radio exchange, and a gun was found in the vehicle.

Michael Vitture, 43, of Parker, Fla. was charged with a misdemeanor for brandishing a firearm and was released on a summons.

Maybe an extra pair of balls for the chickenshit trucker who was so terrified he felt he needed to brandish a gun.
