House Passes Ban On Waterboarding

(AP) The House of Representatives on Thursday approved an intelligence bill that bans the Central Intelligence Agency from using waterboarding, mock executions and other harsh interrogation methods.

The 222-199 vote sent the measure to the Senate, which still must act before it can go to President Bush. The White House has threatened a veto.

Of course he has. He will veto it because he believes the ends justifies the means and that simulated drowning is somehow different from making people believe you are going to kill them. This veto says that this type of "enhanced interogation" techniques is legimate if a country wants information bad enough. WHich says that the same behavior by other countries against our soldiers, both in the past and to come is also legitamate. To bad for you John McCain, the Vietnamese were perfectly in the right to do to you and your fellow POW's whatever they wanted.
 
I think cypriss is being his usual devious self, making people think that because he is a Dem and he slams Repubs, that Repubs are banning snowboarding, at least that was what I thought until I clicked on the link and saw he lied....yet again.

Yes he is trying to make it sound like Republicans are banning snowboarding.....that is why it says "More liberal Bans" and never mentioned Republicans or Conservatives even once.

I couldn't believe that comment when I read it. The characterization he basically fabricated was so far off base; Dano is a demented human being.
 
I just can't believe that Dano continues to cry about people wanting to do away with waterboarding. Like I have said before, if you don't think it is torture, do it to your grandmother, or a child, and then tell me it isn't. I know if you watched it being done to an Ay-rab it would not bother you so do it to someone you love and then come back and telll me it is not torture.
