"Buy, Borrow, Die." Musk does his best to keep to that motto. When he needs money, he borrows(not a taxable event), and pays back the money with profits(a tax deduction). If done correctly, he will never pay any taxes. Musk has taken this to the next level, refusing to payback loans, thereby saving even more money.
Was your dream also to have Musk come and steal your company? Remember, Musk was not the founder of Tesla, he was just the guy who stole it.
