Elon Musk, who recently ended his tenure overseeing the cost-cutting U.S. DOGE Service, escalated his attacks Wednesday on President Donald Trump’s massive tax and immigration package, urging lawmakers to “KILL the BILL.” His exhortation on social media came hours after the Congressional Budget Office, the nonpartisan congressional bookkeepers, projected the One Big Beautiful Bill would add more than $2.4 trillion to the national debt over the next decade. The bill is pending in the Senate after narrowly passing the House last week. On Wednesday, Trump spoke by phone with Russian President Vladimir Putin and is scheduled to sign proclamations at the White House.

Elon's becoming a fun guy,

Elon's becoming a fun guy,
Matters little, the GOP was always going to pass Trump’s bill, if Trump told them to sell the Statue of Liberty, they would, the Paul and Johnson rhetoric is all bullshit

Elon's becoming a fun guy,
No wonder Trump has been sulking in his bedroom for three days. LOL

Remains to be seen.
I’d be amazed if they didn’t pass it, we’ve been down this road umpteen times previously, just recall the Cabinet hearings, the only claimed they had reservations about this one or that one, but in the end, approved them. Cassidy demonstrates the model, being a Doctor, he noted repeatedly he oppose Kennedy due to his views on vaccines, but in the end voted for him simply saying “he’d give him a chance.”

They'll pass something in all probability but not the "big. beautiful" House bill. Question is how less onerous will it be.

The difference between the cabinet hearings and this bill is that anyone who votes for it and is up for election next year might be out of a job.
