MAJORITYrules-sorry
Hey folks. I have come to the conclusion that our differences of opinion, for much part, is normal. It is normal for a group of people who get conflicting information to disagree. We have media telling us this is this, and that is that----but sometimes it seems like this is a lot like that.
What do we expect of eachother? We are told how to think, how to act, what to buy. We are never given full disclosure on any topic--there is always a mystery--a unknown or more--with any issue, it seems. We are not told the truth with full disclosure from our elected officials---no matter what side of the fence they are on. We get lied to on a dialy basis, by some form of media---some---I believe actually pushing a agenda on the people.
So---what do we have to combat that as a people? Our government education system surely is not doing it's job (I don't remember studying the constitution much in HS, or anything about liberity and individual rights)---so we are left to our own individual devices to educate ourselfs (which most probably don't bother to do--but still have an opinion and vote irresponsibly--which is worse than not voting at all IMO).---But to educate ourselfs, we rely on what we hear and see--usually on some media. We have our intuition (where I think I am strong--but others may not think so here), and I believe most of us rely on our intution, with bits of information we select to fill in the blanks of our own intution. Sure, our intution says some shit is seriously wrong with this country---but we never really know all the facts----
Of course we are going to disagree. Of course the varience of opinion will be wide. There will be some 1800's nuts supporting Ron Paul (I support him anyway, because he is a constitutionalist---unless lady t can show me the actual dirt she threw as hear say to me)---and there will be some really hippy everything is love people supporting the liberials.
It is not our fault----we are lied to every day, and sent fragments of information to piece together in our own individual minds. Other facts are held from us purposely. I believe we are manulipulated as a population---leaders, without telling us the direction they are leading us into. They want us to argue with eachother--I think it is a distraction from things happening under our noses sometimes.
It's not our fault---we are lied to everyday--by somebody in power.
It is like a nation wide induced confusion, steering us like a bunch of cattle (all bumping into eachother and fighting also) in a direction that we know no better than the cows. We could be going to a pasture, or we could be going to slaughter.
I for one---have no idea what the future holds for me in the good ol USA. My last future died with irresponsible trade policies, but I am doing good for now with what I now do for a living. I just don't know if it will get leglislated out of existance also.
These are very interesting and globally dynamic times we live in now. I can't help it--my gut says it will not be all that great for us---and my gut is pretty accurate.
What does your gut feel? Do you fel confident about your opinion, knowing that you get lied to every day?
