My conclusion of our differences of opinion

Hey folks. I have come to the conclusion that our differences of opinion, for much part, is normal. It is normal for a group of people who get conflicting information to disagree. We have media telling us this is this, and that is that----but sometimes it seems like this is a lot like that.

What do we expect of eachother? We are told how to think, how to act, what to buy. We are never given full disclosure on any topic--there is always a mystery--a unknown or more--with any issue, it seems. We are not told the truth with full disclosure from our elected officials---no matter what side of the fence they are on. We get lied to on a dialy basis, by some form of media---some---I believe actually pushing a agenda on the people.

So---what do we have to combat that as a people? Our government education system surely is not doing it's job (I don't remember studying the constitution much in HS, or anything about liberity and individual rights)---so we are left to our own individual devices to educate ourselfs (which most probably don't bother to do--but still have an opinion and vote irresponsibly--which is worse than not voting at all IMO).---But to educate ourselfs, we rely on what we hear and see--usually on some media. We have our intuition (where I think I am strong--but others may not think so here), and I believe most of us rely on our intution, with bits of information we select to fill in the blanks of our own intution. Sure, our intution says some shit is seriously wrong with this country---but we never really know all the facts----


Of course we are going to disagree. Of course the varience of opinion will be wide. There will be some 1800's nuts supporting Ron Paul (I support him anyway, because he is a constitutionalist---unless lady t can show me the actual dirt she threw as hear say to me)---and there will be some really hippy everything is love people supporting the liberials.

It is not our fault----we are lied to every day, and sent fragments of information to piece together in our own individual minds. Other facts are held from us purposely. I believe we are manulipulated as a population---leaders, without telling us the direction they are leading us into. They want us to argue with eachother--I think it is a distraction from things happening under our noses sometimes.

It's not our fault---we are lied to everyday--by somebody in power.

It is like a nation wide induced confusion, steering us like a bunch of cattle (all bumping into eachother and fighting also) in a direction that we know no better than the cows. We could be going to a pasture, or we could be going to slaughter.

I for one---have no idea what the future holds for me in the good ol USA. My last future died with irresponsible trade policies, but I am doing good for now with what I now do for a living. I just don't know if it will get leglislated out of existance also.

These are very interesting and globally dynamic times we live in now. I can't help it--my gut says it will not be all that great for us---and my gut is pretty accurate.

What does your gut feel? Do you fel confident about your opinion, knowing that you get lied to every day?

I questioned my friends on why they saw the world arround them as they did. I questioned my parents on why their view of the world was to them the only correct view. I realised in my early adulthood that my feelings of being out of sorts with the world that surrounded me was a source of strength. I realised it was because I insisted on questioning what I saw arround me I would always feel a slight uneasiness with the world that I inhabited. I also realised that many are doomed to an unquestioning life and that it was duty in a sense to help them question. This is what the people here have in common. Most of us are questioners. There are a few here who treat the questioning of their world view as a threat and devolve into constant personal insults as a response.


I have been proven right on a number of subjects over the years and I credit my ability to question the accepted answers. I have had even liberals tell me to give up on subjects such as vote fraud and WP in Fallughia. The government we currently have in this country is a master and not a servant. Anyone who does not recognise this living in a fantasy and is unable to question authority. I just cant give up on my duty to help them question.

So why don't you ever hold the Republican's partner in crime -the Democrats - responsible?

You keep doing what you do. I respect your ability to withstand the childish insults and vitriol that has been hurled at you through the years. I think a lot of people, including me, think you're a very good and valuable poster.

That's a great point Beefy. I can respect Desh's belief in questioning authority, questioning what she see's around her etc. On this board at least it is readily transparent that that questioning she refers to is reserved only for the Republican Party and not for the Democratic Party which is fine and is her right. However that comes across not as one who 'questions everything around her' but rather as strictly a political partisan.

I have questioned the failing attempts of the Dems current leaders to effect the changes we elected to perform.

Become a tax accountant and hope the fair tax or flat tax doesn't ever get passed.

The Democratic party will have their chance to set it right. If they refuse to return the power to the people and try to subvert it like the Republicans have then you better get ready because its coming.

Unfortunately the Democratic Party is as much a part of the problem as the republicans. The revolution that must come to America is intellectual in nature and must address much more than political party. We must address our form of government or we will become Rome.
