me and my dogs have always talked to each other

they all want to do it in their own way

some like to growl as talking

in verying tones

some like to do the quiet woof woof thing

my dogs love being able to communicate their needs and wants


if you look at them as smart and treat them like they are smart (just like kids) they will show you just how smart they are
 
I had one dog that would walk up top me and do a full on paragraph of

woowoof rawl grrr arrr wooooof arggeeee rarara

with inflections and evetrything


Ib would have to ask

do you want me to go outside?

if I was wrong she would just look me in the eye

If I got it right she would fake a sneeze as her yes

she was brilliant

They are probably a lot smarter than you as well, do they understand the Austrian School?
 
Well my dog and I often talk.
I sometime ask him to pick something and bring back to me and he does.
He does not answer that much but when the time come for walk then he reminds me by making 2 time woof woof & he start rolling.
Then I get ready and go out with him.
