Time was when a Blackberry was a status symbol and really ushered in the era of the smartphone. In June 2008 Blackberry's share price hit $144 a share. But, they got crushed by iPhone and other smartphones and have never been able to recover.

Oh well.

IMO Blackberry messed up when they tried to create apps and give people an internet experience. It just plain sucked. They should have stuck with what they did well and focus on corporate accounts from a security standpoint. Email and texting they did extremely well.
