My idea for stopping mass school shootings

Since it is people who are who are doing the killing and not the guns, I would propose to isolate the students from would be mass shooters AND potentially sick but armed school staff. Technology exists and could be utilized to create virtual classrooms at home, which would eliminate the potential for a mass school shooting. Thoughts?
 
Part of school is socialization. You make friends, you go on dates. You play sports or join clubs. Interacting with others is part of learning. You will have to deal with others once you are out of school. School is where you learn how.
