So we're in Haines, Alaska and we took a little drive north to the Canada border to see the scenery. We have no passports and knowing the restrictions nowadays we didn't even try to cross. So we turned around before going thru the Yukon checkpoint and have to stop at the Alaska checkpoint to get back to Haines. Technically we had already crossed the border.
Wifey is still a German citizen but left her Permanent residence card at home thinking she'd not need it since we're staying in the U.S.
They did verify that she was indeed a permanent resident, had a SSN, we are married, she has Global Security status, etc.
We were detained at the border for about an hour while they verified my citizenship and eventually had to pay a $585 waiver for her to get back in.

And you fucks want to let any Central American to come in scot free, vote and give them free health care.

Well, from where I sit, this looks like Human Trafficking. You concocted some phoney baloney 'story' about this poor underage East German girl who you smuggled into the Country for nefarious reasons.
'$585 Waver Fee'. You mean you bribed the Border Agents to look the other way. You should have been arrested, separated, put in a cage, and wait your time for a Trial Date.

A better demarcated border would have been sufficient. We couldn't see it. No one could. The border agent showed us where it was while we waited. But yes, a wall would have been better.
